Having been on both sides of the table as both a Founder/CEO and an investor, I am very empathetic to the process of buying, operating, and selling a business.

Operations Experience

Daniel pursued his ETA journey by acquiring Pacifico Aquaculture in 2013 and serving as the Co-CEO.  Pacifico is the world's first and only sustainable ocean-based fish farm specializing in Striped Bass.  In that role, he oversaw all aspects of sales, marketing, processing, finance and investor relations.  Growing sales from $100k to $20M annually, fish count from 50,000 to 8 million, and head count from 30 to 300. Daniel helped win new customers such as Whole Foods Market (named supplier of the year in 2019), Gelsons, Bristol Farms, Wegmans, and Costco, among others.  Daniel successfully sold the business to a private equity firm and generated net returns of 44% IRR and 5x MOIC in ~4 years for his investors.

Investing Experience

Prior to Pacifico, Daniel was a private equity associate at GI Partners in San Francisco and an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs in Los Angeles.

Education

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

North Star

Daniel enthusiastically loves the intersection of Entrepreneurship through Acquisition (ETA) and investing.  After having sat on both sides of the table, Daniel promises to be an empathic, value-added investor.  His mission is to help future generations succeed in their ETA journeys.
